Cape Town

About Us

MH Cape Town is surely one of the most beautiful MH in the world. Aside from the sea views of the Atlantic ocean to our South, mountain views to our East the true beauty of our home lies in the beautiful people that walk through our doors weekly. We have three residents who work and study around the city. Together they host five programs for our MH community and the foreigners who find themselves in the southern tip of the African continent. Our events take advantage of the beautiful surrounding nature- yoga on the promenade, hikes up mountains and safaris on the garden route to name a few. Our participants include local Capetonians, South African’s from around the country and travellers from around the world – it really is a melting pot of people, cultures and food. The conversations are better than the wine. Something to expect at our MH is themed shabbat dinners- our friday the 13th shabbat hosted with the South African Union of Jewish Students Western Cape included 40 participants. We also love to get our hands dirty- our paint and sip event produced some stellar pieces of artwork that hang in the hallway of our spacious and colourful home. We look forward to seeing you!
We intend to do this through mingling, singing, baking, Friday-Nighting, debating, chicken-soup-and-knaidel-making, learning, creating, dancing, volunteering, adventuring, etc.- the list is filled with endless possibilities!

MHCT encourages engagement with Judaism through multiple platforms and from multiple perspectives. This is a pluralist, open-minded and safe space.
