Cape Town

About Us

Moishe House Cape Town is surely one of the most beautiful MoHos in the world. Aside from the uniqueness of being the only house in all of Africa, our home boasts a unique blend of stunning natural scenery and amazing people. We are surrounded by the sea views of the Atlantic ocean to our South, and mountain views to our East, but the true magic of our home lies in the beautiful people that walk through our doors weekly. We have three residents who work and study around the city. Together they host five programs for our MoHo community and the guests who find themselves on the southern tip of the African continent. Our events take advantage of the beautiful surrounding community- bike rides on the promenade, hikes through the flora, and exploring the Mother City’s businesses through our ‘local is lekker’ series. Our participants include local Capetonians, South Africans from around the country, and travellers from around the world – it really is a mosaic of people, culture and food. We love to host Shabbat dinners and holiday gatherings to celebrate all moments on the Hebrew calendar. We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty with events like paint and sip, pasta making, bubble soccer, and planting trees for Tu Bishvat with Glendale Home. We love to connect with organizations in the area, be it local synagogues, NGOs, and other like-minded groups looking to engage the young adult population. We strive to create a space for YOU where everyone is welcome to join, be this your first Jewish event or you’re a regular. To stay up-to-date on the monthly events, like our Facebook page, follow our instagram @moishehousect, and join our whatsapp group! We look forward to welcoming you!
