Moishe House - Prague

Shalom from Prague! Moishe House Prague was founded in September 2014 and we are delighted to join the large family of Moishe Houses worldwide. We will welcome you in a nice apartment where you can come for Shabbat dinner or other Jewish holidays celebrations, to watch movies, to have meaningful discussions over different Jewish topics or just have a coffee with your friends. Pražský Moishe House byl založen v září 2014 a máme radost, žedostali možnost připojit se k početné celosvětové komunitě Moishe Housů.

Rádi vás přivítáme v příjemném prostředí bytu, který se nachází v centru Prahy. Můžete přijít na šabatovou večeři, oslavy židovských svátků,na promítání filmů, diskutovat o různých tématech a nebo prostě jen na kávu s kamarády.

Passover Seder

We cohosted a seder for the 2nd night of Passover in the New synagogue in Prague 8 which is not in use since WW2. The seder was led by a rabbinical student David Maxa.

Party for Nisan 1

A special celebration for the biblical New year with ephasizing the parshat Bo where it's literally said that this is the new year for you. Therefore, we made some New year's resolution, had our wishes and then enjoyed a party with our beloved DJ!

LAN Party

We played PC games eating fingerfood and drinking beer

Shalach manos

An accomplishment of micva to give mishloach manot by visiting eldery members of the community, giving them small packages, and spending some time with them. All of them were 90+ and they were (mostly) very happy to welcome guests.

Purim Party

An academy awards themed purim party in an industrial club Grid with Rabbi's stories about queen Ester, Israeli ambassador's visit (very nice guy!), games, the best costume competiton and a lot of dancing, partying and drinking.

Kabbalat shabbat with Or Tamid

A renewed iniciative striving to develop progressive, non-orthodox Jewish social and cultural life in Prague hosted its very first Kabbalat shabbat and invited Moishe house to be a partner of this exciting beginning.
