1- What things happen in the summer in your city that don’t happen the rest of the year?

Cool music festivals and good food festivals, including Pride. Everyone is outside enjoying the weather when it is sunny and warm. The parks and terraces are packed. The sun is up till 22:30 so the days are long. People make the most of every minute.

2- What would you say is the least exciting aspect of your city in the summer?

The unpredictable weather. It can be super hot one day and cold and wet the next.

3- Most typical summer dish in your city

Most people order bitterballen/borrelhapjes as a snack while drinking on the terraces. Also a lot of people BBQ on their balconies or even in the park (even though that is forbidden).

We live right in the city centre of Amsterdam. Everything around us is trendy! There are some good restaurants, big nightclubs, all kinds of bars, great museums and cosy coffee places near our place.

5- What is the one must-do thing in your city?

Cycling through the streets of Amsterdam (be careful though…) and cruising the canals on a boat!
