Tanya was born in Moscow and moved to Israel when she was a year old. She grew up in Ashdod and Rehovot and then moved to Canada with her family at the age of twelve. Tanya has been volunteering and working in the Jewish community, and she is especially passionate about the Russian-Speaking Jewish community.
Through MHWOW, Tanya creates space for Russian Speaking Jews to gather. This month, she will host her first program in a series called “Making a Jewish Home through Art,” where she and her participants will make “Tree of Life” pendants to represent the connection their families and their history.
