Dayana Zamisch

Moishe House Montevideo Resident

Montevideo, Uruguay

Dayana is a founding resident of the first ever Moishe House in Montevideo, Uruguay. She sees keeping Judaism alive as her duty and takes great pleasure in promoting it among fellow young adults from her small local Jewish Community. Moishe House has provided her and fellow residents a perfect framework for them to make a difference by keeping young adults united as well as loyal to their unique common heritage. She says the experience as a Moishe House resident has helped her to grow as a person.

“Young people want to do activities on their own and find doing a Shabbat” is enjoyable with family and friends and creates awareness of the strong people we are. I believe that through [Moishe House], we can achieve engagement, knowledge of Jewish traditions and festivals and more.”
