Avi Steindel is a Rabbinic Student at the The Hebrew Union College, currently studying in Berlin at the Abraham Geiger kolleg. He was born in Queens, New York and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces, he served in the combat infantry brigade Nahal. He is a founding member of the first Chicago Moishe House, studied at the University of Haifa International Program and staffed Ramah Seminar. He has lead 10 Taglit Birthright Israel trips. Avi looks to form his own brand of leadership through the pursuit of love and peace while finding Jewish answers to real-world questions.
