Josh Einstein

Joshua Einstein loves Israel and is a hardcore secular Jew of the old school. Raised on the bourgeois streets of Teaneck, NJ he was soon recruited into the youth movement Young Judaea where his connection to the Jews, Israel, and politics was nurtured and matured. Soon afterwards he enrolled in Rutgers where he continued the struggle for Xion in an group he founded with three friends. In college Josh went on a lot of Jewish weekend retreats for every other cause and its mother, it was great. Taking advantage of the frantic organized Jewish community, Josh was able to go to Israel and bum around a bunch-o-times for free, which was just jewtastics! Josh worked a bisle in the pro-Israel activist world and now works for NCSY in summer programs for high school kids and Taglit-birthright israel for 18-26 year old. Josh loves freedom, French fries, Defense Secretary Emeritus Donald Rumsfeld, and Moishe house. Building a free space for a new Jewish national identity is tres importante to Josh who as a student of history is always concerned with the fate of his peeps and humanity. Josh likes to read and write. He reads science fiction, political magazines (from the Nation to the National Review), and early Jewish secular philosophy. He occasionally writes poetry. Josh is against sports, both watching and playing but Tennis is the exception because e after a 6 + year hiatus from the mean green court he has decided to try to play again and maybe go professional. Soccer is also okay because well Josh is Jewish and Jews like soccer. Though people believe Josh will one day be president of the United States, his long term goal is to have a syndicated column in a major American paper and to run his own non-profit that defends freedom.

Shira Huberman

Hey all! My name is Shira and I am the newest addition to Moishe House Hoboken. Originally from Los Angeles, I have also lived in Philly, Baltimore, Boston, and of course Jersey. I miss the warm LA weather especially during these cold Jersey winters. I am currently in grad school going for my masters in early childhood education and special education.

David Rosen

So I'm the not so new guy anymore in Moishe House Hoboken. My name is David. Some call me Dave, others call me Rosen, or Rosie. I don't really care what you call me, as long as I know you're talking to me. I moved into Moishe House Hoboken in January 2008 and I'm really excited to be a part of Moishe House. I hail from Teaneck, NJ, like most Jews these days (every Jew knows someone in Teaneck). I went to Rutgers University, and after 5 1/2 glorious RU screw filled years, graduated with a degree in music. By day, I'm a youth director and teacher, and by night I protect the citizens of Gotham and Hoboken from the evil Dr. Einstein, who seeks to take over the world by spreading the gospel of St. Bush II. I'm an Aries, I enjoy romantic candle light dinners, long walks on the beach, and much overused cliches. I like music, sports, (go Yankees, go Giants), and food. I don't like Boston (read Red Sox, Patriots, Palmer), Republicans, and work, and I'm yet undecided about whether or not Joel Schumacher was smoking crack when he made Batman and Robin. I've spent many a summers at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires; 7 as a camper, and 6 as a counselor. I have a special affinity for Atlantis, Barack Obama, and ferrets, and I think when the zombies come, my house is especially prepared. I don't know what else to write, and I've just about run out things to say about myself. I'm always up for meeting new people so come on by Moishe House Hoboken, join in on the discussions, and tell me I'm not crazy because I think humans were genetically manipulated 100,000 years ago by a super advanced alien species who landed on earth and altered human history forever by incorporating their DNA into ours in an attempt to take over earth and the human race before the end of the world comes on December 21st, 2012. That's not too out there, right? Not nearly as crazy as say...global warming. Yea, we're a fun bunch at Moishe House Hobotown.
