Naked Fitness - (5/16/2010)
This month’s Holistic Health Practice will be covering Fitness. Our event begins with a brief overview on how to have more energy while exercising, which will be presented by Anastasia Cohen of The Naked Fitness. Franklin will then lead the group in a series of stretching movement that heats up your body and releases toxins from your spine. Then we will begin our walking/jogging/running exercise along the lake side on LSD and meet back up at the Moishe House for some tasty and healthy snacks that complement our activities. You will feel physically stronger, mentally clearer, and more uplifted.

Rostik's Bat Midstvah Party - (2/13/2010)
Come join me in celebration of my "fake" Bar Mitzvah Russian style. We will provide some drinks and food, but please bring an alcohol beverage of your choice as a Bar Mitzhvah present to me :) There will be music, dancing, and other kind of debauchery. To spice things up we will be handing out role cards to our guests, who will then be re-enacting these roles throughout the night (on a voluntary basis of course). The roles will of course include the Rabbi, the hot girl, the grandparents, and the bratty little brother among others. This event is going to be SUPER fun, so we can't wait to see you all there.

This month’s proceeds from Good Karma Café will go to SHALVA, a non-for-profit organization that provides counseling for Jewish Domestic Violence victims and education/prevention programs on healthy relationships (for a more detailed description click on the link www.shalvaonline.org).

Wine Tasting Happy Hour - (1/14/2010)
On a cold Thursday evening, what's a better way to unwind after work than to sip on good wine in a cozy atmosphere among friends? Next Thursday, we are having a Wine Tasting Happy Hour, where we ask each guest to bring one bottle of their favorite wine. We will taste, mingle, and enjoy each others company. At the end, a bottle of premium wine will be awarded to the person who brings the best-tasting wine (by popular consensus). So come join us for some wine fun.

Kosher Love, Relationships, Sex and Marriage, with Rabbi Scott Perlo - (1/10/2010)
Join us at the Russian Moishe House of Chicago for a unique on-of-a-kind learning event. Spend Sunday afternoon in a frank discussion on a topic of great interest to us all: Love, Marriage and Sex in Judaism. We will hold a frank discussion on traditional and contemporary Jewish views on these important subjects and dispel the many existing misconceptions people tend to have about the role of relationship, marriage and sex in the Jewish faith. Some of these topics may be of personal importance to you, while some might just answer a question of academic curiosity, but regardless of how connected you feel to Jewish traditions, you'll learn something about one of the most frequently misunderstood facet of our culture.
