long time we wanted to organize a little conference for MHBA friends with more Coss. Finally we could arrange and we really enjoyed this topic. Talked about the judaism and what is going to happend with the education of our children in the future.

Moishe House / Yona shabbaton - (6/18/2010)
We opened up our beautiful Friday night experience to all of our Facebook community at the Yona Hebrew Centre. We had Friday night prayers with the local community and Julia and Guido were invited up onto the bima to tell the community about Moishe House. We had a lovely meal and then the community leader, Uriel, led us through a very interesting discussion about fitting punishments to their crimes, about rebellion, and connecting it all to the week's parasha.

Love & wine - (6/13/2010)
What is love? Uriel Aiskovich, a trainee rabbi took us on a journey through rock lyrics, psychoanalysis, modern thinkers and Jewish sources. Discussion was accompanied by wine.
The group bonded amazingly well and no-one wanted to leave at the end so we got a kosher pizza take-away and stayed chatting til late.

Hi everybody :-). Sunday 8 pm... people start to come...pizzas are ready. While we are eating, the karaoke machine is getting ready... after dessert we go to the living and the music night starts!!!

Pesach seder #2 - (3/30/2010)
22 people from Argentina, Mexico, USA , France and England enjoyed an amazing seder night at Moishe House Buenos Aires. We each read part of the haggadah in our Spanish/Hebrew haggadot. We sang mah nishtanah and dayeynu, drank 4 cups of wine, ate matza, maror and charoset and then a delicious home-cooked meal. Definitely event highlight of the month!

So for this ocation we prepared a special food that we learned in the cooking course at MHBA. It was amazing!!!.As usually,speaking in spanish,hebrew and english.

Clubbing at INK club. We collaborated with an Israeli club promoter here to have Chanuka club night! We negotiated a special deal on entrance for MH members (instead of 35 pesos, we got in for free!) we had donuts, lit the chanukiah, sang chanukah songs and danced the night away to Israeli and Latino tunes. It was a really great night.

We enjoyed a great afternoon at Hacoaj, a Jewish river island in Tigre. The weather was great and we spent the afternoon playing volleyball, football, sunbathing, eating (kosher barbeque!), rowing on the river, juggling, playing the guitar, chilling and chatting with friends. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all.

Volunteering at Baby Care for 'Dia del Nino' - (8/8/2009)
We went to help out at Baby Centre's Dia del Nino (Children's Day) for the afternoon, which took place in the Jewish old age home, Ledor Vador. We painted children's faces, played with them and helped to give out food to the children, their families and the elderly people in the home.

We learned how to make miso soup with tofu, a pumpkin stew, lemon and ginger drink and a cream layered cake. Great fun and a delicious lunch.

We welcomed in shabbat with candles, kiddush and challah. Then we ate a tasty meal, listened to a dvar torah, sang, did some Israeli dancing and finished a great evening with guitar and drum playing to some slow Jewish songs and niggunim.

What not to wear part 2 was all about the eternal problem of skirts.

Nutrition and Judaism - (7/23/2009)
Jewish nutrition expert came to the Moishe House and talked about how to live a healthy life. He talked about quality of our food, how to supply our bodies with all the nutrients they need and the importance of exercise. Javier set all of this, and more, in the context of what Judaism, and specifically Maimonides, has to say about all of this.

Trip to Mataderos - (6/21/2009)
Met at the Moishe House for breakfast then went to Mataderos for the day. Watched/listened to live Argentinian bands, traditional Argentinian dancing (some of us joined in!), tasted the foods of North Argentina and bought lots of hand-made items in the market. It was great to welcome and get to know 4 new people at the Moishe House. A great day was had by all.

Volunteering at 'Tzedek' - (6/20/2009)
Donated lots of clothes and bedding to the Jewish charity shop, Tzedek, then stayed to help organise the clothes section of the shop. We also visited another charity shop and met with the wonderful volunteers who do a tremendous amount of great work. Enjoyed a delicious lunch with some volunteers and learnt about the work that they do. Excellent contacts with whom we can do future tikkun olam events.
