Oh that smell? That's just the hottest thing cookin' in Argentina, and you may want to let it cool off before you think about touching it. It's the Moishe House Buenos Aires, and the fearsome foursome of Evan, Elana, Tania and Mauro has been making their presence felt in big ways in the city that hosts the largest Jewish community in all of Latin America. With the "Mi Casa es Tu Casa" attitude, E, E, T & M have opened up the doors to their house (and their hearts) to providing the local community with a space that can best be described as "buena onda". Our Shabat dinners usually consist of representatives of at least 3 different countries speaking 3 different languages, but, luckily for us, we all speak the international language of "Moishe".* Picnics at the Recoleta feria, trips to the Argentine coast, Saturday night gatherings, are just some of the happenings at the MHBA. The atmosphere we provide encourages growth and enjoyment, and, similar to that of China at the end of the 19th century, our Open Door Policy guarantees a free-flowing and gainful exchange of culture and ideas. So come on over for a cafe con leche, stay for our talk on Middle East politics, or meet up with us later for the Kevin Johansen concert. Just bring an open mind and your appetite for locura, and MHBA will do the rest! Nos Vemos! *For a copy of an English Moishe dictionary, please email us!
